After being in the dorms for two years, I realized that as people we don’t need much. I think we acquire so much because we fear losing things. Also at play can be consumer culture. Constantly buying new things that you won’t use a year from now.
Having less is like having more. For example, the less decisions you have to make, the more energy that you have. The less things you have, the more time you have with your particular items.
I’m really aiming to minimize the things in my life. Less furniture, less gadgets, less clothing, and just overall, less possessions.
The less possessions you have, the more time you have to share with things that are important like family, friends, and your passion.
